Launched two years ago, Pollen Academy is the training and education arm of Pollen Consulting Group. This unit complements Pollen’s consulting work in the FMCG sector by offering training and development, as well as providing standalone training courses to the company’s clients.
Traditionally focused on lean, supply chain management and operational excellence, the branch has recently expanded its portfolio to include lean six sigma. Now, amid growing demand for its blended coaching services, Pollen Consulting Group has expanded its suite to include an “Executive Leadership Coaching” course aimed at executives who want to develop their vision and leadership skills both personally and professionally.
The course is led by Stephan Mang, director of the consulting company. He is an ICF certified coach and has “a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching and mentoring, as well as a passion for helping people achieve their goals,” said Ash Darley, director of Pollen Academy. Prior to joining the Sydney-based consultancy, Mang gained extensive experience as an internal coach and mentor to senior managers.
Using his expertise, Mang helps leaders in the private and public sectors make positive changes in areas such as career, business, leadership and health, among others. The program he designed begins by helping participants identify goals and obstacles along the way, then gives them structure and self-motivation to change their thinking and realize their journey.
One of the first leaders to sign up for the Executive Leadership Coaching course was Petra Williams, talk show and podcast host, TV and radio presenter and entrepreneur. Reflecting on the course, she said, “It really helped me get clear on what I wanted and set realistic goals.”
“I have dedicated my life to being an example of what it’s like to live your ‘hot truth.’ After an hour and a half of discussion and planning, I realized that I didn’t actually want to use the vehicle I had chosen to create my vision… Wow, that just saved me months of barking up the wrong tree. It’s great to take control of your own future and tell the universe that I mean it. Thank you Stephan, you are a rock star.”
Humbled and honored by the feedback, Mang said, “I really thrive when I see people have a breakthrough moment and take action to change their lives, and I’m proud of the feedback from Petra and the other participants.”
