Industry publication HRD has announced the winners of its annual Human Resources Innovation Awards, with three of the thirty awards going to leading consulting firms.
With the Covid-19 pandemic wreaking havoc on businesses across Australia, human capital innovation has never been more important than last year. HR has played a leading role in crisis response, ensuring people can transition to remote and virtual work while maintaining productivity, commitment, team morale and mental health.
Focusing on a range of areas including talent management, diversity and inclusion, recruitment, reward and recognition, culture and HR technology, HRD’s Innovative HR Teams 2021 awards received a record number of entries from a wide range of industries. Fast forward a few months and a competitive due diligence on successes and 30 organizations were praised for demonstrating excellence in how their HR teams handled the pandemic.
Three of the winners come from the consulting industry: Deloitte, Nous Group and Slalom.
Deloitte
As part of its efforts to improve learning, Deloitte changed the way its employees learn with the launch of Cura, a personalized learning platform based on machine learning and artificial intelligence; An onboarder that provides employees with their first connection to Deloitte; and Stepping into the Future, which aim to help employees prepare for and succeed in their future work.
Meanwhile, Deloitte’s talent team increased its commitment to an inclusive culture by empowering more than 2,000 leaders through the company’s Inclusive Leader Activation Labs best practices.
The launch of Deloitte’s new benefits platform, MyBenefits, provides employees with a one-stop shop for all of Deloitte’s exclusive benefits. The firm also introduced Charlie Knows, a virtual assistant chatbot that will save thousands of hours of work for members of its talent team.
